The Tefcold UF200SG is a single glass door upright display freezer with a 200-litre capacity, designed to keep frozen products visible and accessible at point of sale. It is most commonly used for ice cream, frozen desserts, and impulse-buy frozen goods in front-of-house or counter settings, where both product presentation and reliable temperature holding matter.
In a busy service environment, consistency is what counts most in a display freezer. The UF200SG uses static cooling to maintain a stable temperature throughout the cabinet, which suits products that benefit from steady conditions rather than forced-air circulation. The glass door allows customers and staff to identify products quickly without repeatedly opening the unit, which helps maintain temperature discipline during peak periods.
From an operational standpoint, this unit offers several practical advantages:
- Glass door display encourages customer self-selection and reduces unnecessary door openings
- Digital temperature control allows straightforward monitoring without specialist tools
- Compact upright footprint suits counter-adjacent or floor-standing placement
- Stainless steel construction supports routine cleaning and hygiene standards
- Fixed shelving arrangement provides a stable, organised product layout
Installation is straightforward for a unit of this type. It is a plug-in appliance requiring a standard UK mains socket, so no specialist electrical work is needed. It should be positioned with adequate clearance at the rear and sides to allow condenser airflow — fitting it flush into a tight recess without ventilation space will affect performance. It is not designed for outdoor or unheated storage environments.
The UF200SG is well suited to cafés, ice cream parlours, delis, and smaller retail food outlets where a single display freezer is sufficient for the product range on offer. For operators with higher frozen stock volumes or multi-product display requirements, a larger capacity or multi-door unit would be a more appropriate starting point.
If you are unsure whether this cabinet suits your layout or service volume, our team is happy to talk it through before you commit.
