The Olympia Kristallon tumblers are a small-format plastic tumbler made from SAN — a styrene acrylonitrile plastic that offers notably better clarity and rigidity than standard polypropylene, while remaining fully shatter-resistant. At 142ml, the capacity is sized for smaller portions: children’s drinks, juice accompaniments, or controlled-measure service in care or educational settings.
In day-to-day service these perform well precisely because there is little to go wrong. The material resists the knocks and drops that are routine in canteen or school dining environments, and the stackable profile keeps storage compact in areas where cupboard space is limited. Being glasswasher-safe means they cycle through the same wash routine as the rest of your drinkware without needing separate handling.
Operators typically reach for this size tumbler when:
- Serving children’s portions of juice, squash or milk in school or nursery settings
- Reducing breakage risk where traditional glassware is a safety concern
- Running high-turnover canteen or buffet service where replacement cost matters
- Operating in outdoor or mobile catering where glass is impractical
It is worth being realistic about scope: these are light-duty smallwares suited to cold beverages only. They are not intended for hot drinks and are best suited to environments where the smaller 142ml portion is appropriate by design rather than compromise. For table service in a more formal setting, or where a larger capacity is needed, there are other sizes and formats in the Kristallon range worth considering.
