Rational Active Green Cleaner Tabs for iCombi Pro & iCombi Classic

Rational’s Active Green cleaner tabs are the manufacturer-specified cleaning consumable for iCombi Pro and iCombi Classic combi ovens fitted with Efficient Care Control. They are formulated to work directly with the oven’s built-in automated cleaning programmes, delivering the correct detergent concentration for each cycle without requiring manual intervention or separate chemical measuring.

In a working commercial kitchen, oven cleanliness has a direct bearing on cooking consistency and equipment life. Grease and food residue that builds up across services can affect airflow, impair steam generation, and interfere with sensor accuracy. Using the correct manufacturer-specified tab ensures the automated cycle performs as the oven’s software expects — with the chemistry matched to the programme parameters rather than approximated by a third-party alternative.

A practical consideration for sites in areas with variable water quality is that the Active Green formulation is designed to operate without the need for a separate water softener or routine manual descaling. This reduces day-to-day maintenance demands and simplifies stock management. Operational advantages include:

• Matched to Rational’s automated cleaning cycle parameters on compatible models
• Works in typical commercial water conditions without a separate water softener
• Removes grease and food soiling through a multi-ingredient cleaning complex
• Eliminates manual descaling between services under normal operating conditions
• Supplied in cartons for straightforward stores-room stock control

These tabs are appropriate for any site running a compatible Rational iCombi Pro or iCombi Classic with Efficient Care Control — including hotel kitchens, contract catering, restaurants, and education catering. It is worth noting that using non-Rational cleaning products in these ovens can affect how cleaning programmes perform and may carry warranty implications.

If you are working through which Rational cleaning consumables are correct for your oven model or want to check compatibility, the team is glad to point you in the right direction.
