This is a standard four-socket extension lead with a 3-metre cable and a 13A rating, intended for general-purpose use in back-of-house or office areas. A power indicator light confirms when the unit is live, which is a useful safety check in busy environments.
In a catering context, this type of lead is suited to low-draw applications: charging devices, powering small office equipment, or running a till or card reader in a front-of-house area. It is not rated for high-draw commercial kitchen appliances such as fryers, ovens, or refrigeration units, and should not be used as a substitute for a properly wired socket in a production kitchen environment.
It is worth noting that in commercial kitchens, permanent fixed wiring is the correct solution for equipment in regular use. Extension leads of this type are best treated as a temporary or supplementary measure, and any installation involving electrical equipment in a food business should comply with current regulations and be reviewed by a qualified electrician where appropriate.
If you are unsure whether this product suits your intended use, or if you are looking for a more robust electrical supply solution, the team is happy to point you in the right direction.
