Basix Polycarbonate Hand Wash Basin Grey

This is a compact, wall-mounted hand wash basin manufactured from ABS polycarbonate. It is supplied complete with taps and is available with an optional matching splashback. The grey finish is consistent with standard commercial kitchen aesthetics and the polycarbonate construction keeps the unit light without compromising day-to-day durability.

Polycarbonate basins of this type are commonly used in commercial kitchens where a dedicated hand wash point is required under food hygiene regulations. The compact footprint makes it practical in tight spaces — behind a prep station, beside a cooking line, or in a back-of-house washing area — without taking up significant wall or floor space.

Key practical points worth noting:

• Supplied with taps, reducing the number of separate fittings to source
• Lightweight polycarbonate construction simplifies wall fixing
• Compact form suits installations where space is limited
• Optional splashback available in matching grey
• British-made unit from a straightforward, proven range

Installation requires a standard hot and cold water supply and a suitable waste outlet. Wall fixings should be appropriate for the surface material — solid masonry, stud partition, and tiled surfaces each have different requirements, so confirm your wall construction before ordering. The basin is suited to lower-traffic hand wash points; for sites with very high footfall or continuous use across multiple shifts, a heavier-duty stainless steel option may be worth considering.

This basin is well suited to smaller commercial kitchens, cafés, food vans, temporary catering facilities, or any site that needs a compliant hand wash point without the cost or weight of a full stainless steel unit. It also works well as a secondary basin in larger kitchens where multiple wash points are needed.

If you are unsure whether this basin is the right fit for your installation — particularly around wall type, water supply, or compliance requirements — the team is happy to talk it through with you before you order.
