The Beaumont Fine Mesh Strainer is a gold-plated stainless steel bar tool designed to strain cocktails and mixed drinks to a clean, smooth finish. The fine mesh catches ice fragments, fruit pulp, seeds and other solids that a standard Hawthorne strainer would allow through — a technique commonly referred to as double-straining.
In a busy bar environment, the strainer holds up well to repeated use through a service. The gold-plated finish gives it a professional appearance on the bar top, which matters in venues where presentation is part of the experience. Beyond cocktails, the fine mesh is practical for dusting powdered toppings onto hot drinks or sifting fine sugar over desserts, making it a versatile addition to a well-stocked bar or café counter.
- Strains ice chips, fruit pulp and peel from shaken or stirred cocktails
- Suitable for double-straining alongside a Hawthorne or julep strainer
- Useful for dusting cocoa, cinnamon or similar toppings onto hot drinks
- Gold-plated finish suitable for front-of-house presentation
- Compact enough to store easily in a bar drawer or tool roll
This strainer is well suited to cocktail bars, hotel bars, pubs with a cocktail menu, and café counters serving specialty coffee. It is a practical everyday tool rather than a high-throughput piece of equipment, so very high-volume venues running continuous cocktail service may want to consider keeping several to hand.
If you are building out a bar tool kit and want to make sure you have the right pieces for your service style, we are happy to talk it through.
