The Cambro Camview drain grid is a straightforward accessory designed to sit inside a GN 1/1 gastronorm pan and lift food clear of the base. By holding produce above the pan floor, it allows liquid to drain away naturally rather than pooling beneath the food — a small but practically significant difference when it comes to maintaining texture and quality during storage or service.
In a working kitchen, this matters most when holding washed salad leaves, prepped vegetables, marinated proteins, or anything where excess moisture will soften or compromise the product over time. The grid is equally useful in a cold storage context as it is on a buffet or service counter where presentation and food quality need to be maintained across a shift.
A few practical points worth noting:
- Fits Cambro GN 1/1 pans — not a universal fit across all gastronorm brands
- BPA-free polycarbonate construction, safe for direct food contact
- Handles repeated dishwasher cycles without warping or degrading
- Recessed grip points make removal straightforward even with wet hands
- Suited to chilled storage and ambient service temperatures
This is a single-size accessory, so it is worth confirming your pan inventory before ordering in volume. If your operation runs predominantly half-size or fractional GN containers, a different grid size would be the appropriate choice.
If you are unsure which drain grid sizes best match your current pan stock, or whether a different Cambro storage accessory would better suit your workflow, the team is happy to help you work that out before you order.
