The Cambro Capri is a laminate serving tray finished in a walnut effect, sized at 360 x 460mm. It is constructed with a double layer of food-grade melamine, giving it a smooth, consistent surface that presents well in formal tray service settings such as hotel dining, room service, and restaurant front-of-house operations.
In day-to-day service, the melamine construction holds up well against the knocks and spills typical of a busy pass or tray collection point. The surface resists staining and chemical cleaning agents, which matters in environments where trays are turned around quickly between covers. It can be run through a commercial dishwasher once per day, keeping cleaning straightforward without compromising the finish over time.
From an operational standpoint, the Capri tray offers a few practical advantages worth noting:
- Smooth laminate surface wipes clean quickly between uses
- Resistant to common food stains and cleaning chemicals
- Consistent walnut finish maintains appearance across a matched set
- Food-grade melamine construction throughout
- Suitable for daily commercial dishwasher cycles
It is worth bearing in mind that this tray is designed for front-of-house tray service rather than heavy production use. The once-daily dishwasher guideline is worth observing to preserve the laminate surface long-term — operators putting trays through multiple wash cycles per day may find the finish degrades more quickly than expected.
The Capri walnut tray is well suited to hotels, restaurants, and cafés where a consistent, presentable tray service is part of the guest experience. For higher-volume operations or environments where trays take more punishment, a heavier-duty option may be worth considering.
