Churchill Delta Grey Oblong Plates 298x153mm (Pack of 12)

The Churchill Delta Grey oblong plate is a commercial-grade piece from Churchill’s Super Vitrified range, designed for operators who want tableware that holds up under daily service pressure without drawing attention away from the food. The oblong format suits sharing plates, starter courses, and plated mains where a rectangular canvas works better than round. The Delta Grey colourway is a restrained, semi-matte tone that sits comfortably alongside most plating styles.

In service, Super Vitrified construction means these plates are built to handle the repeated thermal cycling that is unavoidable in a busy kitchen — hot from the pass, stacked in the wash, back into rotation. The in-glaze decoration is integral to the body rather than sitting on the surface, which makes it considerably more resistant to the dulling and surface wear that affects lesser tableware over time. The fully glazed base reduces the risk of chipping damage during stacking and racking, which matters when covers are high and plates are handled quickly.

Practical advantages for kitchen teams include:

• Dishwasher safe construction built for high-frequency commercial wash cycles
• Microwave safe, supporting flexible holding and finishing processes
• Stain resistance that helps maintain a clean presentation throughout service
• Thermal shock resistance reducing breakage from rapid temperature changes
• Good heat retention, helping food stay at temperature between pass and table

These plates are sold in packs of twelve, which suits most initial stock requirements for a section. They are well suited to restaurants, hotels, and contract catering operations running contemporary menus where a neutral, textured plate complements modern plating. For very high-volume sites turning large covers daily, it is worth discussing total stock levels with us to ensure you hold enough to cover breakage replacement without disruption.

If you are building out a full cover or mixing pieces across a range, we are happy to talk through what quantities and formats make practical sense for your operation.
