The Churchill Era coupe plate is a 260mm round plate finished in a soft grey colourway, part of Churchill’s Super Vitrified tableware range. The coupe profile — a shallow, rimless shape with a gently curved edge — gives chefs a clean, uninterrupted surface that suits plated dishes where presentation is a priority. The radial print references mid-century Mod design, giving the range a considered aesthetic without being overtly decorative.
Super Vitrified construction means the body absorbs very little moisture, which supports hygiene standards and helps the plate retain heat through service. For front-of-house operations running continuous covers, that thermal performance matters — plates that cool quickly put pressure on pass speed and affect the customer experience. The body’s resistance to thermal shock also reduces the risk of cracking when plates move between temperature extremes, which is a common cause of attrition in busy kitchens.
Churchill’s Eco glaze finish adds a practical layer of protection for day-to-day service use:
- Resists staining from sauces, oils, and pigmented ingredients
- Reduces metal marking from cutlery, keeping plates presentable for longer
- Dishwasher safe, supporting high-volume wash cycles without surface degradation
- Microwave safe for operations that reheat plated dishes
- Backed by a five-year edge chip warranty
At 260mm, this is a versatile main course plate size, well suited to contemporary plating styles. It works across restaurant, café, and hotel dining environments where a neutral, understated palette is preferred. For higher-volume sites needing larger plate counts or different profile shapes, the Era range extends across additional sizes and formats.
If you’re specifying tableware for a new opening or refreshing an existing range, the team is happy to talk through quantities, patterns, and how this plate sits alongside other pieces in the Era collection.
