The Churchill Era collection is a range of Super Vitrified tableware built around a distinctive radial print pattern, drawing on the visual language of Mod design from the mid-twentieth century. The grey colourway has a soft, neutral tone that works well against most plated food styles. These oblong plates are a practical format for starters, sharing dishes, and individual plated courses where a longer, narrower profile suits the presentation better than a round plate.
Super Vitrified construction gives these plates a notably low moisture absorption rate, which matters in a busy kitchen where ware is cycled through a commercial dishwasher multiple times per service. The body also has good thermal shock resistance, meaning repeated movement between temperature extremes — trolleys, pass lamps, cold larder prep — is less likely to cause cracking than with standard vitrified china. Churchill’s Eco glaze finish adds a degree of stain and metal mark resistance, which helps the surface hold its appearance across repeated washing cycles.
From a practical standpoint, these plates suit operations that want consistent, presentable tableware without excessive fragility or high replacement rates. They are microwave safe and dishwasher safe, which fits standard back-of-house workflows without requiring special handling procedures.
- Resistant to staining and metal marking from cutlery contact
- Good thermal shock tolerance supports busy dishwash and pass environments
- Low moisture absorption helps maintain structural integrity over time
- Microwave and dishwasher safe — compatible with standard service workflows
- Neutral grey colourway suits a wide range of plating styles
These plates are well suited to restaurants, hotel dining rooms, and bistros looking for styled tableware with a degree of practicality behind the aesthetic. For very high-volume operations with fast ware-wash cycles, it is worth discussing your throughput and replacement expectations with us before ordering in quantity.
If you would like to discuss whether this format and colour fits your current table setting or service style, we are happy to help you work through the options.
