Churchill Smoke Grey Coupe Plates 237mm (Pack of 6)

These Churchill Alchemy Smoke coupe plates are a 237mm round plate in a deep, neutral smoke grey glaze, produced from Churchill’s super vitrified fine china body. The coupe profile — rimless, with a clean, gently curved surface — gives chefs a wide, unobstructed canvas for plating. The finish is understated and works equally well with pale, delicate presentations and bold, richly coloured dishes.

In a working kitchen, the material matters as much as the look. The super vitrified fine china body is formulated with elevated alumina content, which improves chip resistance and reduces moisture absorption through the body. That matters in a busy wash cycle: plates that absorb less moisture hold temperature better when they come off the pass and are less prone to crazing over time. The Eco Glaze surface is harder than standard vitreous china glazes, which means metal-mark resistance is meaningfully better — a practical consideration when plates are stacked, slid across surfaces, and handled at pace during service.

• Super vitrified fine china body with added alumina for improved chip resistance
• Hard Eco Glaze surface resists metal marks and staining through heavy service use
• Low moisture absorption supports better hygiene and heat retention at the pass
• Stable coupe profile stacks securely, making back-of-house storage straightforward
• Microwave and dishwasher safe, compatible with standard commercial warewashers

There are no unusual installation or storage requirements. The plates stack safely and the pack quantity of six is suited to topping up an existing service set or trialling the colourway before committing to larger volumes. Operators running high covers who need to build a full service set should factor in a realistic buffer for attrition over time.

These plates suit restaurants, hotel dining rooms, and hospitality venues looking for a strong, contemporary colourway that holds up under genuine service conditions. For very high-volume operations where attrition rates are significant, it is worth discussing pack quantity and ongoing availability with us before ordering.

If you are building a full table setting across multiple plate sizes or coordinating with other pieces in the Alchemy Smoke range, we are happy to talk through what makes sense for your covers and service style.
