The De Buyer Mineral B 32cm wok is a traditional round-based carbon steel wok, part of De Buyer’s established Mineral B range. Carbon steel has long been a preferred material in professional kitchens for wok cookery — it heats quickly, responds immediately to changes in temperature, and develops a natural seasoning over time that improves with use.

In a working kitchen, that responsiveness matters. Wok cookery depends on rapid heat transfer and the ability to move between high-heat searing and gentler finishing without lag. Carbon steel handles this well. The 3.7-litre capacity makes this a practical choice for à la carte cooking and batch preparation of stir-fried or tossed dishes, though it is proportioned for individual portions or small batches rather than large-volume production. The dual-handle design gives controlled, stable handling when moving a loaded pan between stations or heat sources.
