The Libbey Winchester Double Old Fashioned glass is a 350ml tumbler with a traditional cut-glass profile, sold in packs of twelve. It is a straightforward, well-made glass suited to cocktails, spirits, and soft drinks service in bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues.
Libbey manufacture these glasses with their Duratuff treatment, a toughening process applied during production that increases resistance to both thermal shock and the everyday mechanical knocks that come with commercial glassware service. In practice, this means the glasses hold up better through repeated dishwasher cycles and the inevitable handling that occurs in a busy bar environment. They are not unbreakable, but they are meaningfully more durable than standard untreated glass of comparable weight.
From an operational standpoint, the Winchester design offers a few practical advantages for bars and front-of-house teams:
- Duratuff toughening improves resistance to thermal and mechanical shock
- Fully dishwasher safe, compatible with commercial glasswashers
- Classic cut-glass profile suits a broad range of drinks presentations
- Consistent 350ml capacity supports standardised pouring
- Sold in packs of twelve, practical for stock rotation and breakage replacement
The pack size of twelve is sensible for most venues as a starting point, though busier bars or those running multiple service areas will typically want to hold two or three packs per glass type to allow for breakages and glasswasher turnaround time. These glasses are glass, not polycarbonate, so they are not appropriate for poolside, outdoor festival, or any licensable area where glass is prohibited.
The Winchester Double Old Fashioned suits bars, hotel lounges, and restaurants looking for a reliable, commercially durable tumbler with a classic aesthetic. If your operation requires a polycarbonate alternative for outdoor or high-risk areas, a different product category would be more appropriate.
If you are unsure how many packs your service requires or whether this glass fits your venue’s specific needs, the team is happy to advise.
