The Luigi Bormioli I Meravigliosi collection is a range of lead-free crystal beverage glasses designed for professional service environments where both durability and presentation matter. These glasses hold 570ml and are sold in a pack of 24, making them a practical choice for operators looking to build or refresh front-of-house stock without buying in small quantities.
What sets this collection apart in a commercial context is the combination of an ultra-thin rim — which improves the drinking experience — and a flat-bottomed bowl that encourages gentle aeration. For a wine glass used in a busy restaurant or bar, that design detail can make a noticeable difference to how the drink is presented to the guest. The SON.hyx crystal glass used by Luigi Bormioli is a proprietary lead-free formula that delivers strong clarity alongside resistance to the thermal and mechanical stresses of regular commercial dishwashing.
From an operational standpoint, the key advantages are:
- Dishwasher safe and rated to retain clarity for over 4,000 wash cycles
- Lightweight construction that reduces fatigue during high-volume service
- Ultra-thin 0.95mm rim for an improved guest experience without fragility
- Flat bowl base promotes natural aeration without requiring a separate decanter
- Lead-free crystal with strong breakage resistance relative to its weight
These glasses are well suited to restaurants, wine bars, and hotel food and beverage operations where glassware takes heavy daily use. They are a mid-market professional choice — not the heaviest-duty option available, but practical for most table service environments. Operations with very high breakage rates or rough handling conditions may want to consider a thicker-walled alternative.
If you are unsure whether this collection is the right fit for your service volume or glassware programme, we are happy to help you think it through before you commit to a quantity.
