The Luigi Bormioli Top Class beverage glasses are a well-regarded choice for hotels, restaurants, and bars that want a clean, elegant glass without the fragility often associated with fine crystal. Made from SON.hyx, a lead-free crystal glass formula developed by Luigi Bormioli, they offer the clarity and lightness of traditional crystal while being considerably more resistant to the knocks and stresses of a busy service environment.
In practical terms, these glasses handle repeated dishwasher cycles reliably. Luigi Bormioli rates the material to maintain its clarity and surface finish through over 4,000 dishwasher cycles, which represents several years of daily commercial use without the clouding or micro-scratching that affects standard glass over time. That durability is a genuine operational consideration — glasses that hold their appearance reduce the need for frequent stock replacement and keep a consistent look on the table throughout the life of the set.
The 350ml capacity positions these well for soft drinks, water service, and juice, though they are versatile enough to be used across a range of beverage occasions. The lightweight construction is appreciated front-of-house where staff are handling high volumes of covers.
