The Maham Studio Spice Cardamon plate is part of a vitrified stoneware collection designed by Maham Anjum. It combines the visual character of hand-thrown terracotta with the structural durability expected from commercial foodservice tableware. The exterior carries an unglazed terracotta finish, while the interior features a coloured reactive glaze in a warm cardamon tone — giving each piece a degree of natural variation that reads well on a dressed table.
Vitrified stoneware is a practical choice for busy front-of-house environments. It handles the daily demands of commercial dishwashing and stacking better than earthenware alternatives, and the reactive glaze finish helps mask minor surface wear that accumulates with regular service use. The 240mm diameter makes it a versatile plate size — appropriate for starters, sharing dishes, bar snacks, or as a side plate in a broader table setting.
- Vitrified stoneware construction suited to commercial dishwasher cycles
- Unglazed terracotta exterior with reactive interior glaze for visual character
- 240mm diameter works across starter, sharing, and bar food applications
- Natural colour variation between pieces adds to the handcrafted aesthetic
- Supplied in a pack of 12, practical for opening par stock or topping up existing covers
This collection is well suited to restaurants, hotel dining rooms, gastropubs, and bar kitchens looking to introduce a more artisan aesthetic without sacrificing the durability requirements of daily service. It works particularly well alongside natural linen, slate, and timber table elements. Operators running very high cover counts may want to consider whether a larger opening quantity is appropriate for their par stock needs.
If you’d like to talk through how this collection sits alongside your existing tableware or discuss quantities for your covers, the team is happy to help.
