The Olympia Kiln teapot is a vitrified porcelain teapot designed for professional table service. Each piece carries a reactive glaze finish, which means the colour and surface texture vary slightly between items — a deliberate characteristic of the Kiln range rather than a quality inconsistency. The Smoke colourway sits in a grey-toned palette that works well across both contemporary and more traditional table settings.
In service, these teapots hold a practical volume suitable for serving two to three cups, and the removable internal filter makes loose leaf tea service straightforward without requiring separate infusers. The porcelain conforms to the Vitrified Hotelware Standard BS4034, which sets out minimum durability requirements for professional hospitality use. The Lifetime Edge-Chip Warranty from Olympia reflects that standard and is worth factoring into total cost of ownership when comparing against lower-specification alternatives.
From an operational standpoint, the key practical points are:
- Dishwasher safe, which keeps turnaround efficient during busy service
- Microwave safe, useful where tea is kept warm or reheated to order
- Removable filter supports loose leaf service without additional equipment
- Supplied in a pack of four, making it straightforward to build or replenish a set
- Available across five colourways in the Kiln range, allowing a consistent look across a table setting
These teapots are well suited to cafés, hotel breakfast and afternoon tea service, and restaurant table service where the look of the tableware is considered as carefully as its durability. For high-volume operations requiring very large batch replenishment, it is worth checking pack quantities and lead times to ensure stock levels are manageable.
If you are building out a full table setting using the Kiln range or want to check current stock across colourways, the team is happy to help.
