The Origin Base Mid Stool is a straightforward, well-made polypropylene stool designed for commercial dining environments where durability, easy handling and efficient storage matter. Sold in pairs, these stools are available in traffic white and suit a range of indoor settings from cafés and canteens to bar areas and casual dining rooms.
Polypropylene is a sensible material choice for commercial seating. It resists knocks, wipes down quickly between covers, and holds up well under the kind of repeated daily use that would wear softer materials down. At 3kg per stool, staff can move and reposition them without effort, which is useful during service changes or when reconfiguring a dining space for different group sizes.
From a practical standpoint, these stools offer several operational advantages worth noting:
- Vertical stacking keeps storage compact when covers are reduced or the space is cleared
- Uniform moulded construction means no fixings to work loose over time
- The traffic white finish is a neutral, versatile option that sits cleanly across a range of interior schemes
- Manufactured from over 50% post-industrial recycled polypropylene, which may support sustainability reporting for operators who track that
These are mid-height stools suited to counter or bar-height surfaces in the 650mm seat height range. They are designed for indoor use and are best suited to environments with moderate-to-busy footfall. For very high-volume sites where seating turnover is constant throughout the day, it is worth considering whether a heavier frame construction would better match the operational demand.
If you are unsure whether these stools are the right fit for your space or service style, we are happy to talk it through.
