The White Album Thimble from Rene Ozorio, produced for Steelite, is a small fine china vessel shaped like a thimble and intended for front-of-house presentation of amuse-bouches, tasting portions, dressings and sauces. The collection is characterised by a luminous, translucent finish that gives the china a clean, considered look well suited to contemporary fine dining and tasting menu formats.
In service, these thimbles are practical to handle and straightforward for front-of-house staff to set and clear quickly. The shape keeps small portions contained and presented neatly, which matters when consistency of presentation is expected across multiple covers. Fine china construction means the pieces hold up to regular service use while maintaining their finish over time with correct care.
- Works well for amuse-bouche, pre-dessert or tasting course service
- Coordinates with other pieces in the White Album collection for a unified table setting
- The translucent finish suits minimal, modern plating styles
- Supplied in a pack of 12, providing a practical starting quantity for most covers
As with any fine china, these thimbles require careful handling during washing and storage to avoid chipping. They are best suited to establishments where tableware is handled with care — fine dining restaurants, boutique hotels and private dining rooms are the most common settings. For operators running a high-turnover casual environment, a more robust earthenware or porcelain alternative may be worth considering.
If you are building out a full table setting using the White Album range or want to discuss quantities appropriate for your covers, our team is happy to help you work through the options.
