These extra large round bowls are part of Steelite’s Craft range, produced in melamine to replicate the look of the ceramic Craft dinnerware collection. At 381mm in diameter, they are designed for buffet service, salad bars, and self-service counters where generous presentation capacity is needed alongside the durability that commercial foodservice demands.
Melamine serveware of this type is a practical choice for high-traffic buffet environments. It resists the chipping and cracking that would quickly take porcelain out of service in a busy setting, and it holds up well through repeated use across long service periods. The Craft aesthetic gives a considered, consistent look to a buffet spread without the fragility of ceramic alternatives.
From an operational standpoint, these bowls work well for operators who want to maintain a coherent table or counter presentation. Key practical points include:
- Robust melamine construction suited to daily commercial use
- Consistent Craft aesthetic pairs with existing Steelite Craft tableware
- Large format reduces the frequency of replenishment during service
- Supplied as a two-pack, practical for rotation or simultaneous station use
It is worth noting that melamine serveware is not suitable for microwave or oven use, so these bowls are intended for ambient or cold food presentation rather than heated service. They are not a substitute for gastronorm pans in a heated display context.
These bowls suit hotels, conference venues, staff restaurants, and catering operations running buffet or self-service formats. If you need a smaller format for the same range, or are building out a full Craft collection across tableware and serveware, the team is happy to help you work through what makes sense for your setup.
