The Steelite Taste Rectangle plate is a straightforward, well-made piece of tableware designed for professional food service. The rectangular format suits a range of presentations — from composed plated dishes and open sandwiches to shared starters and small plates — making it a practical choice for operators running casual dining, bistro, or contemporary café-style service.
Steelite’s alumina vitrified body gives these plates a level of durability that holds up well under the demands of daily commercial use. The glaze is resistant to staining and thermal shock, which matters in a busy kitchen environment where plates move between service, washing, and reuse in quick succession. Chipping and crazing over time is a common problem with lower-grade tableware; the construction here is intended to reduce that attrition and extend usable life across a large cover count.
- Rectangular format suits plated dishes, sharing boards, and open sandwiches
- Alumina vitrified body provides reliable durability under heavy daily use
- Stain-resistant glaze maintains a clean, professional appearance over time
- Thermal shock resistance supports fast turnaround between washing and service
- Supplied in a pack of six, practical for building or topping up cover stock
These plates are supplied in packs of six, which suits operators topping up existing stock or trialling a new presentation format before committing to larger quantities. For high-volume sites running large cover counts, it is worth calculating the number of packs required to maintain adequate rotation through service and the dishwasher cycle without shortfall.
If you are unsure how many covers to plan for or whether this size and format fits your current service style, our team is happy to talk it through with you.
