Tefcold MOBILUX 21 COMBI Mobile Freezer/Chiller 249 Ltr

The Tefcold MOBILUX 21 COMBI is a battery-powered mobile chest unit that operates as both a freezer and a chiller, designed for operators selling ice cream or chilled goods away from a fixed power supply. Unlike static catering refrigeration, this unit is built around portability — it can be mounted onto a suitable trolley or vending tricycle, making it a practical choice for markets, events, outdoor catering, and seafront or park-based vending operations.

In day-to-day use, the battery provides a working range of roughly eight to thirteen hours depending on ambient conditions and how frequently the lid is opened. For most single-day trading sessions, charging overnight is sufficient to carry the unit through a full shift. The combi configuration means operators can run it in freezer mode for hard-scoop ice cream or switch to a chiller setting for soft drinks, dairy products, or chilled snacks — useful for traders who vary their product range by season or venue.

From a practical standpoint, the unit accommodates three internal baskets, each sized to hold two 4-litre scooping tubs, giving a capacity of six tubs in active use. Key operational considerations include:

• No fixed power connection needed during trading — fully self-contained during operation
• Basket configuration keeps product organised and accessible during service
• Dual-mode operation supports both frozen and chilled product ranges
• Suitable for mounting on a compatible vending trolley or tricycle
• Overnight charging via a standard connection prepares the unit for the next day’s trade

This unit is best suited to sole traders or small vending operations running a single point of sale. It is not designed for high-throughput fixed installations or continuous multi-unit operation. Operators expecting to run two or more sales points simultaneously, or those needing extended trading hours beyond a single charge cycle, may find a higher-capacity or mains-connected solution more appropriate.

If you are unsure whether this unit fits your trading pattern or want to discuss options for your specific setup, we are happy to help you think it through before you commit.
