Vogue ABS Gastronorm Drainer Plate GN 1/1

This drainer plate is a simple insert designed to sit in the base of a Vogue ABS GN 1/1 gastronorm tray, raising ingredients above any accumulated liquid. It is a straightforward accessory that does a specific job: keeping food — particularly proteins, salad items, or prepped vegetables — from sitting in their own juices or melt water during cold storage, prep, or service.

In practice, this kind of insert earns its place in kitchens where presentation and food quality matter at the point of plating. It is commonly used in cold larder sections, butchery prep areas, and salad stations where moisture management affects both the appearance and the shelf life of ingredients. The ABS construction holds up well under repeated daily use and handles the temperature range typical of refrigerated storage and light reheating tasks without warping or distorting.

From an operational standpoint, the benefits are modest but practical:

• Keeps proteins and vegetables clear of pooled liquid during storage
• Dishwasher safe, so cleaning fits into a normal end-of-service routine
• Drip-dries quickly, reducing turnaround time between uses
• Remains cool to the touch, allowing safe bare-hand handling from the fridge
• Compatible specifically with Vogue ABS GN 1/1 trays

It is worth confirming tray compatibility before ordering. This plate is designed for Vogue’s ABS gastronorm range and may not seat correctly in trays from other manufacturers or in Vogue’s polycarbonate or stainless steel GN containers. If you are equipping a section from scratch or sourcing drainers to match an existing tray stock, the team is happy to confirm which inserts correspond to which tray models.
