This is a standard GN 1/3 tray in 65mm depth, moulded from ABS plastic with a black finish. It fits any compliant gastronorm counter, cold well, or storage rack and is designed for cold food storage, prep organisation, and buffet or display use. It is not suitable for oven or direct heat use.
In a working kitchen, this tray earns its place in cold prep and service. The black finish provides a clean, neutral backdrop for cold displays — salads, dressings, garnishes, and desserts — and the 65mm depth offers a practical balance between capacity and counter profile. It handles daily fridge, freezer, and blast chiller cycling without warping or discolouring, and it clears a commercial dishwasher or utensil washer without issue.
Practically, ABS plastic trays like this are a sensible choice where stainless steel is unnecessary. Key operational points include:
- Stackable design reduces storage footprint between services
- Lightweight construction supports quick repositioning during prep
- Reinforced lip adds structural rigidity under load
- Dishwasher and utensil washer safe for end-of-service cleaning
- Compatible with standard gastronorm frames, cold wells, and storage systems
This tray is well suited to cafés, delis, hotel buffets, and any kitchen where cold food display or prep organisation is a daily requirement. It is a straightforward, reliable piece of smallwares rather than a high-demand workhorse — sites with very high-volume cold prep may find stainless alternatives more appropriate over the long term.
If you are fitting out a full cold prep or display setup and want to confirm the right tray depths and quantities for your operation, our team is happy to talk it through.
