The glassFORever Thomas old fashioned tumbler is a polycarbonate drinkware option designed to replicate the appearance of cut glass without the fragility or safety risk of real glassware. Each tumbler holds 370ml and is sold in packs of 24, making them a practical choice for operators who need to equip large tables or service stations quickly.
Polycarbonate drinkware of this type is commonly used in outdoor hospitality, event catering, festivals, poolside service, and high-footfall venues where broken glass presents a genuine operational or safety problem. The ribbed profile of the Thomas range gives it a more considered aesthetic than plain-walled plastic tumblers, which makes it better suited to settings where presentation still matters — wedding receptions, corporate functions, and similar events among them.
In practical terms, the key advantages of this tumbler in a busy service environment are:
- Virtually unbreakable polycarbonate construction reduces breakage losses and clearing time
- Crystal-clear material maintains the appearance of real glass on the table
- Dishwasher safe for over 2,000 cycles, supporting reliable reuse at scale
- Solid base and ribbed sides make handling easier on full trays
- Fully reusable and recyclable, reducing single-use disposable costs
These tumblers are dishwasher safe, though as with all polycarbonate drinkware, using a detergent formulated for plastics will help preserve clarity over time. They are not suitable for use with sharp implements or carbonated drinks under pressure in sealed environments.
The Thomas tumbler is well suited to event caterers, outdoor venues, leisure and entertainment sites, and any operator managing a high-turnover service where glassware breakage is a recurring cost or liability. Operators running smaller, more controlled settings with no particular safety concern around glass may find standard glassware more appropriate for their needs.
If you are equipping an event and are unsure of the right quantity or product type for your service format, we are happy to talk it through.
