These are the phosphate-free cleaning tablets produced by Rational for use with their SelfCookingCenter and CombiMaster Plus combi ovens equipped with Efficient CareControl. Supplied in tubs of 130 red tablets, they are the consumable component the oven’s automated cleaning system is designed to use.
Rational’s automated cleaning programmes rely on the correct tablet chemistry to work as intended. These tabs are highly concentrated and formulated to break down grease, protein residue, and carbonised deposits that accumulate during heavy service — the kind of soiling that builds up quickly in a busy kitchen running roasting, steaming, and combination cycles throughout the day. Using the correct Rational-specified tabs helps ensure the cleaning cycle performs to its designed standard and that oven cavity surfaces, steam generators, and drainage components are properly maintained over time.
Using the manufacturer’s own cleaning consumables in a Rational oven is worth considering for several practical reasons:
- Formulated specifically for Rational’s CareControl cleaning programmes
- Phosphate-free formula reduces environmental load in wastewater
- Highly concentrated — each tab is calibrated to the oven’s dosing system
- Red tab identification helps kitchen teams distinguish cleaner tabs from rinse tabs
- Supplied in a 130-tab tub suitable for regular ongoing use
It is worth confirming which cleaning tab type and colour your specific Rational model requires before ordering. Rational ovens use different tab types depending on the model generation and the cleaning programme in use, and using the wrong tab can affect cleaning results or, in some cases, trigger programme errors. If you are unsure which consumables your oven needs, the team is happy to help you confirm the right specification.
