These 152mm coupe plates are part of the Steelite Performance Flora range, finished in an aqua colourway. The coupe profile — a shallow, rimless shape with a smooth, continuous curve — gives a clean, contemporary presentation that works well for starters, desserts, amuse-bouches, or side dishes. They are produced in high alumina vitrified china, which is a denser, harder-wearing body than standard vitrified porcelain.
In a working restaurant or hospitality environment, the material choice matters beyond aesthetics. High alumina vitrified china is well regarded for its resistance to chipping along rims and edges — the areas that take the most punishment in a busy pass or during dishwasher cycling. The body also handles thermal shock reliably, which is relevant when plates move between a heated gantry and a cold pass during service.
From an operational standpoint, the practical advantages of this range include:
- Dishwasher safe construction that holds up to repeated commercial wash cycles
- Good heat retention properties, helping dishes reach the table at the correct serving temperature
- A consistent aqua glaze finish that remains stable under regular use
- Lighter individual weight, easing handling during high-cover services
- Supplied in a pack of 12, suited to building or topping up cover sets
There are no special storage or handling prerequisites beyond standard crockery care. The 152mm diameter positions these as a smaller plate — practical for courses where a full dinner plate would overwhelm the portion, but less suited as a main course plate for larger dishes. Operations running higher covers or needing a deeper stock of this colourway may want to consider larger pack quantities or companion pieces from the same range.
If you are building a cover set across multiple courses or matching to existing Flora pieces, our team are happy to advise on quantities and complementary sizes before you order.
