The Bauscher Elements Sand walled plate is a stoneware dining plate finished with a soft, semi-matte natural glaze that gives each piece a handcrafted quality without compromising the consistency expected in a professional setting. The raised wall provides a defined rim that helps contain sauces, dressings and loose garnishes — a practical consideration when plating dishes that need to arrive at the table looking composed.
In service, stoneware of this type holds its appearance well under regular commercial use. The Elements Sand finish suits vegetable-forward, grain-based and plant-centred menus particularly well, providing a warm, earthy backdrop that lets fresh ingredients read clearly on the plate. It works equally effectively with more traditional composed dishes where a neutral, understated canvas is preferred over stark white.
From an operational standpoint, this plate is designed to move through a commercial kitchen without requiring special handling:
- Oven safe, supporting plated dish warming and finishing passes
- Dishwasher safe, suitable for commercial rack and conveyor warewashers
- Microwave safe, useful in hospitality settings where reheating flexibility is required
- Consistent glaze and form across the pack, supporting uniform presentation
- Sold in packs of six, practical for building cover counts progressively
For smaller venues or those building an initial tableware stock, the six-piece pack format allows incremental investment. Larger operations or those with higher breakage rates may find it more cost-effective to order multiple packs to establish a full working set with adequate backup covers.
If you’re unsure how many covers this plate suits your style of service, or whether the Elements Sand range sits correctly within your broader tableware scheme, we’re happy to talk it through before you commit.
